BMC Identity Management: Administering - Part 1

This course provides instruction in the setup, implementation, and customization options of the Enterprise Security Station (ESS) graphical user interface (GUI). It is designed to provide the skills necessary for users of this product to compete tasks necessary to perform user administration. In addition, some of the material in this course covers activities necessary to support those persons performing these tasks, such as building templates and establishing security rules. Hands-on labs allow the participants to experience and experiment with the concepts presented in the class.

Administrators and System Programmers

  • Do product installation and configuration
  • Implement enhanced features, such as exits/pre-post scripts, templates/job codes, security rules, workflows and on-going maintenance of solution

Developers and System Programmers

  • Do the custom development of interfaces for applications, operating system, and databases not currently supported by the product suite and Remedy development for customer workflows and service request definitions

  • Build templates
  • Use templates to create entities and entity connections
  • Create and implement security rules
